Your host department or program at FIU may be able to assist you in locating suitable housing, so you are encouraged to contact them first. Florida International University does not provide housing for J-l exchange visitors, but we can provide information to assist you with finding off-campus housing to meet your needs. Office of Orientation & Commuter Student Services. You may also contact them at

Academic Affairs offers temporary on-campus housing for guests visiting FIU on University business. Two one-bedroom fully furnished apartments including computer and fax machine are located in the University Parks Towers at a reasonable rate. Guest can make reservations by calling the Office of International Studies at 305 348-1913 or
sending an e-mail to intered@fiu.edu.
When you first arrive, you may need to arrange to stay in an area hotel until longer term housing can be arranged. FlU cannot recommend specific hotels, but an extensive listing of hotels can be found in the yellow pages of the telephone directory. If you will need to locate off-campus housing, try to arrive several days early to familiarize yourself with the University and the local area.
