Isaac Benavides

Bio

Isaac Benavides holds a Master’s in Public Administration, a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, and a Certificate in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from Florida International University. As a first-generation American from immigrant parents, Isaac has been dedicated to supporting FIU students from diverse backgrounds through various student services roles within the university. Currently serving as a Coordinator and Designated School Official (DSO) with FIU’s International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS), Isaac specializes in advising international students on immigration-related matters, maintaining compliance with federal regulations, and managing student records across university systems and the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS). With a strong passion for international higher education and student success, Isaac is committed to guiding students throughout every stage of their academic journey at FIU. His goal is to provide knowledgeable, compassionate support while fostering a welcoming environment where international students feel supported and at home.
